Benefits of membership

    • Opportunity to vote on issues affecting the water well industry.
    • Ongoing training and upgrading.
    • Price reductions, where possible, on continuing education opportunities.
    • NSGWA holds regular meetings, both technical and social, which provide opportunities to interact and exchange information with others in the industry. For example:
      • An annual general meeting is held each May.
      • Regional (continuing education) meetings that are held every year at various locations throughout Nova Scotia.
      • Regular Bulletins (newsletters)
      • Fact sheets (Cost of ground water, Quality of ground water, Ground water contamination and protection, Iron in ground water, Guidelines for sanitizing a water well, The hidden danger in water well pits, Guidelines for water well construction, etc.)
      • The May meeting is followed by a lobster and steak dinner and awards night, at which the following awards are presented: Driller of the Year, Pump Installer of the Year, and the W. E. (Buster) Brown Founders Award.
      • Fall meeting (usually October/November)
